He visits a small town in MA (I believe) to investigate reports of cattle mutilation, as he now works for a smaller journalism agency that deals with supernatural findings, sort of bottom of the barrel journalism I suppose. Then we are introduced to Fenn, a reporter who is in a rough patch in his career due to being caught fabricating stories. A priest is tying her soul to a live inside a doll.
